JOE SELTZER

I taught Management at La Salle University for 40 years. When I retired in 2016, I started taking sculpture classes with Jon Burns at the Bucks County Community College. Making art is now my hobby and primary creative activity. I continue to take classes with Jon and make sculptures, mostly what could be called “direct metal sculpture.” I like being able to find multiples of geometric shapes or other objects and weld them by adding one piece at a time. I usually have only a general idea of what the final piece will look like. I add additional pieces trying to achieve a sense of balance and harmony and continue to work until the piece feels done to me. I mostly do it for the fun of making art.
