Deep Forest

My work explores the duality of skill and awkwardness; thereby creating a sense of harmony between craftsmanship and naiveté. The images suggest instances of real life both in present tense and in past.

Specifically, the work attempts to create composite bodies and form. I try to portray moments trapped between different states of existence, sometimes clear and sometimes imagined.

Incorporating human and animal forms with elements of nature expresses, in a physical sense, my own experiences with my surroundings, and our inter-dependency with animals, earth and the many things I love.
