3rd Street Gallery, an artist-run cooperative in Old City, Philadelphia, accepts submissions for full and associate level membership at any time throughout the year.

Full Membership entitles artists to have their own individual show, exhibit in annual group shows, participate in outside shows, and have an artist’s page on the gallery’s website. Full Members are required to pay monthly dues, gallery sit, attend monthly meetings, help host First Friday openings from time to time, and to serve on two committees.

Associate Membership entitles artists to exhibit work in an annual Associate’s Show, exhibit in annual group shows, participate in outside shows, and have a listing and an image on the gallery’s website. Associate Members are required to pay monthly dues. Associate Members may attend monthly meetings, gallery sit, or be a part of a committee, all of which are optional.

To apply for membership, decide which membership you would like to apply for and then download the appropriate prospectus which outlines the advantages and responsibilities of membership. Please send or drop off a resume, a statement about your work, and a CD with images of your most recent work, including an image list, with title, size, and media, to the address above. You will then be contacted as to the review date and will be requested to bring two pieces of original work to the Gallery.
