As a multi-media artist, I believe I have a responsibility to use my work as a platform for journalism, advocacy, and personal expression for social change. My current series — The Eyes of America — is an ongoing visual arts project begun in 2017 that uses film, photography, spoken word, and installation to illustrate the urgency of bringing issues of immigration to the forefront. It is an event that brings viewers into a sacred space where they can be with the art, to superimpose their own points of view, draw their own conclusion.
As a student of art, I studied graphic design and advertising at The Philadelphia College of Art (now UArts).
